Because I know it isn't the Goodwill in Stratford. A few days ago I went in to purchase some clothing to destroy for zombie costumes (see Ally and Dakota's Recipe for Zombie Clothes) and walked out having spent much more than 'twenty dollars in my pocket..." all told, costuming 12 zombies cost about $170! However, helping Ally and Dakota beat up the clothes outside our apartment building was well worth the cash spent!
The good news is, we have moved filming back one weekend, so our shoot will officially take place February 9th and 10th so we have plenty of time to...to...well actually, we're pretty set! Once again, thanks to my fantastic producer, and my wonderful crew (who are almost more enthusiastic about the project than I am), we are ready to shoot this baby!

You Will Need:
Clothing, any condition
Scissors
A knife (optional)
Fake blood
Access to the outdoors
Newspapers
Spoons and forks

Directions:
Cover your workspace with newspapers. Liberally.
Take the clothing outside. Rub it in the grass, beat it against some trees, and use it to dig small holes in mulch. (This step can be skipped if the clothing is already acceptably messy)
Bring the clothing back inside. Begin to rip or cut into it with scissors or a knife. Parallel lines make excellent scratch marks.
Rip off some buttons, pockets, collars, or hems to desired look.
Place the clothing on top of the newspapers. Apply fake blood, especially in the areas where cuts are prominent. Apply fake blood more heavily around large cuts, spreading it thinner as you move away.
Drag the spoon or fork through the fake blood, spreading it across the clothing.
If desired, apply large amounts of fake blood and scrunch the clothing up to cover many surfaces.
Lay the clothing flat on the floor (on top of newspapers), or hang to dry.
